What you do not want
No insect traps with a high-voltage grid may be placed in rooms where food is prepared, stored, or consumed. This is partly because the captured and killed insects can fall out. Also, the high voltage, which leads to electrocution of the insect, can cause them to disintegrate into particles.
Insects, or parts of insects, can still end up in food, leading to unhygienic situations. Also, this way diseases that an insect may carry can still be spread.
What then?
An insect trap with an adhesive sheet is suitable for this purpose. The insect is attracted by the UV-A lamp and is then lured into the trap. When the insect enters the trap, it lands on an adhesive sheet. The insect then remains stuck on this adhesive sheet.
Thus, the insect is caught in the trap without being able to get out. Polluting other surfaces, spreading diseases, or sitting on food is no longer possible. This makes an insect trap with adhesive sheet the best solution for the catering industry.
